Project Start
Meeting with Acrotel's Management Team
During this stage, Vivestia scheduled a meeting with Acrotel's Management Team to propose the idea of creating a Virtual Reality Tour for their hotels and villas in Halkidiki. Vivestia showcased their expertise and successful projects, highlighting the potential benefits of implementing the Virtual Reality Tour. The meeting focused on discussing objectives, requirements, and expectations from Acrotel's Management Team.
Project Steps
Step 1: Inspection Stage
A team of dedicated personnel arrived at the Hotel premises to inspect the different room types and areas of the Hotel. The Inspection Process lasted 4 hours and was performed along with the Hotel's Management Team.
Step 2: Project Planning and Scope Definition
In this phase, Vivestia conducted a detailed analysis of Acrotel's properties in Halkidiki to understand their layout and architectural features. Through collaboration with Acrotel's Management Team, the scope of the project was defined, including the number of locations, specific areas of interest, and any additional requirements. This stage also involved determining the timeline, budget, and resource allocation for the project.
Step 3: Content Capture and Processing:
Vivestia scheduled multiple visits to Acrotel's hotels and villas to capture high-quality 3D scans and imagery using Matterport's technology. They ensured that all significant areas, including lobbies, rooms, amenities, and outdoor spaces, were captured to provide a comprehensive Virtual Reality experience. The captured data was then processed using Matterport's software, creating a seamless and interactive Virtual Reality Tour.
Step 4: Tour Enhancement and Customization
During this step, Vivestia added extra features to enhance the Virtual Reality Tour. They incorporated interactive hotspots, multimedia content, and informative descriptions of key areas. Working closely with Acrotel's Management Team, the Virtual Reality Tour was customized to align with the company's branding guidelines. This included incorporating Acrotel's information, color schemes, and specific requests.
Step 5: Quality Assurance and Testing
Vivestia conducted thorough quality assurance testing to ensure the Virtual Reality Tour met high standards of functionality, performance, and user experience. They meticulously checked the navigation, interactive elements, multimedia content, and compatibility across various platforms and devices. Any issues or inconsistencies identified during testing were addressed promptly to deliver a polished final product.
Step 6: Integration with Acrotel's Website
During this phase, Vivestia collaborated with Acrotel's web development team to seamlessly integrate the Virtual Reality Tour into their website. They provided the necessary technical specifications and assets required for the integration process. Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure the Virtual Reality Tour functioned flawlessly within the website environment and across different web browsers and devices.
Step 7: Launch and Promotion on Vivestia's Booking Platform
Vivestia worked closely with Acrotel's Marketing Team to strategically launch the Virtual Reality Tour on Vivestia's Booking Platform. To ensure Live Prices and Availability connection with Webhotelier was established through API.
Step 8: Ongoing Support and Maintenance
To ensure the long-term success of the Virtual Reality Tour, Vivestia provided Acrotel with ongoing technical support and maintenance services. This included regular performance monitoring and analytics assessment of the Virtual Reality Tour. Any necessary updates, optimizations, or expansions were implemented in collaboration with Acrotel's team as their hotels and villas evolved.

The final deliverable of the project was an immersive Virtual Reality Tour encompassing all of Acrotel Hotels and Villas' properties. Vivestia successfully captured and processed high-quality 3D scans and imagery during the 10-day shooting phase. Subsequently, they dedicated 10 days to meticulously edit and embed the Virtual Reality Tour into Acrotel's website, ensuring a seamless integration that showcased the unique features of each property. The result was a captivating and interactive experience that allowed visitors to explore and engage with Acrotel's hotels and villas virtually.
