Design: Gorgeous and fun

The best thing about the Reno 16 is its design. The chassis will be familiar if you've crossed paths with any recent Oppo flagship phone. But it is what Oppo has done with the back panel design that makes all the difference.

The starry white variant we got for review has the image of a planet in orbit embossed with a cool 3D holographic effect— HoloVerse 3D in Oppo marketing speak—that moves around when you move the phone and let light hit it at different angles. It is a clever trick but one that gives the Reno 16 a distinct identity and charm, most phones haven't had for years. More importantly, it leaves a long-lasting impression on you.
